Finally, A Good Night's Sleep...

Three in a row, even. I haven't dropped off the planet: I'm currently running around the land of my birth in the manner of a recently decpitated chicken, and will be reporting as such in my upcoming series "Jerusalem- In England's Green and Pleasant Land."

But Seriously. Having a lovely time unwinding and destressing in the company of good friends. Never mind that El Al lost my luggage and made me miss my connection. Never mind that the driver of the airport taxi was so unspeakable revolting to me, as well as unapologetically keeping me waiting for 50 minutes in the Jerusalem cold- even to the extent that I briefly considered never returning to the Holy Land. Never mind that my family and other animals are all insane. No, I'm just enjoying all the little things. Parallel parking on the other side of the road. English chocolate. Polite drivers. Being able to say "this week, frankly, I don't give a toss" when asked about the upcoming disengagement. And mean it!

One of my friends- who has witnessed various stages of my frazzlement over the years in both countries- said to me yesterday "You look great, hon. Really chilled." Amen. Long may it continue! Meanwhile I'm off for my next Cadbury Fix.
