Snow and Woe

Yay! Snow outside! Now turning into rain, but for a few glorious minutes we had some fabulously thick flakes of yore. Got some nice pics, will try to post one later.

And guess whose heating isn't working? I'm reduced to walking around the apartment wearing 3 arctic-appropriate layers- Michelin Parrot! Mmm, Attractive.

I have discovered that the oven can be employed as a useful warmth device in the absence of anything else. Ever the multi-tasker, I therefore am slowly cooking up the contents of my freezer in the name of both experimentalism and necessity. There are plenty of leftovers- just bring your thermal undies if you pop over.

Such freezing interiors would, I now know, have been deeply appreciated by the recently-deceased Orchid. Yes, cheers for all the good wishes and advice that flooded in, but I am afraid that the Orchid is no more. And at this rate, I'm going to be an Ex-Parrot when they find that I have neglected their pride and joy upon their return. So I guess the options are to either procure a doppelganger plant prior to their return, or else confess to orchid-slaughter before the accusations of murder begin to fly? Or flee the country?- I guess this is as good a reason as any! Perhaps I should get myself a lawyer.
