Alas, John Craven

No, he's not dead. At least, not last I checked. I was just reminiscing that the world was much easier to understand back when he spoon-fed us our news through the box every day at ten to five. Now we are blessed/cursed with a choice of Boxes from which we can be informed. And spoiled by choice! All this conflicting reporting is just selfish. It is an industry- you'd think they'd all learn to find some commonality for the sake of causing less confusion to their "consumers". But no, scramble our brains, why don't they? Leaving us even less informed about what is going on in the "world", which I am sure cannot be the point.

So, I was about to add a hotspot scoop of my own and mention that today I noticed how of late, Jerusalem feels less tense: but then as I was contemplating, I heard loud, protracted screams in the street outside, auto-piloting me into the chilly expectation of hearing loud bangs, sirens and cries. Thankfully, in the absence of such noises, I'm assuming that it was just some people messing. But I learned my lesson well: No declarations in any department just yet! Maybe these newsbite-lovers who are prolific in our countries' governance should take a leaf out of my book: then at least there would be less contradictory declarations to confuse us with.

In other news, another of the plant guests is looking a bit peaky, although when I left it this morning was still alive... at least this time I know where I can buy a replacement. Having said that, Mr. Orchid, albeit severly de-flowered, still posesses very green leaves and a distinctly un-dead demeanour. Which is encouraging.

And Finally Tonight- in view of the comments to my last entry and extraordinary developments of the last 48 hours, maybe the Bridget Jones analogy was a little previous. Tune in to the next Parrot Newsround for more cryptic crap and random rambling. Meantime, sweet dreams of Creme Eggs.
