Israel for Darfur
Yesterday was Global Day for Darfur.
A friend of mine today has launched a massive "Israel for Darfur" campaign:
http://www.israelfordarfur.org
Please check out the site, and spread the word as far and as wide as possible... if you are local, they are looking for people to get involved.
And there are also the wristbands, and other ways you can help...

i find it ironic that israel is one of the only countries that has a section of their budget designated for humanitarian aid, and yet all israelis are painted by the media as war criminals...?

BUTC- It is ironic and depressing. But I think there is also an element of apples and oranges. Or at least, grapefruits and oranges.
MCA- Indeed, unbelievable: Could get cynical here, but will refrain.

Check out today's Guardian to find Jonathan Steele suggest that "friends of Israel" are exaggerating reports of Darfur in order to make the Christians invade yet another Muslim country. We really should stop all this warmongering.

What is ironic is that the Arabs of the Sudan are stating that Israel is championing Darfur to draw attention away from what is going on in Israel.
How strange. Iran masks its nuke program by having Hezbullah attack israel and Israel masks its problems by encouraging humanitarian aid.
Who would of thought?
